Universal Travel Adapter PD (Power Delivery). help!

My current charger by Samsyng that I bought when I got my new A16 5G Samsung, is labeled 25W. It charges it to 100%, starting with battery at 35% in about 1h 25m approx.

Start by determining what voltage levels (and therefore what power levels) are needed by each device. Probably, a laptop computer is the biggest draw – my Lenovo needs a 60 watt/20 volt PD supply. Determine the highest draw items, and which things you'll want to power/charge at the same time.

This will give you the biggest single load you have, the maximum total load, and the number of ports.

Let's say you have these devices to charge at the same time:

● Laptop, 20 volts, 60 watts

● Device x, 15 volts, 45 watts

● Phone, 9 volts, 25 watts

To charge these devices at the same time, you'd need a 130 watt PD supply with at least 3 ports.

Here's where it gets a bit tricky. Let's say you find a 5 port charger that can supply 180 watts. Looks like that's a good option. But wait. You need to determine what each port is capable of, and sometimes they aren't so forthcoming with this info. Dig into the details and you may find:

● 4 ports are capable of supplying 15 volts, 45 watts at the same time.

● 2 ports can supply 15v/45w while 2 ports can supply 9v/27w and the last port can supply 5v/10w.

● Other combinations of loads per port, totaling 180 watts.

The critical thing to note is that no port can supply 20v/60w. So this supply wouldn't work to power the laptop even if it's the only device connected. Make sure the the PD charger can supply the maximum needed voltage/power through a single port while also powering other devices.

Be very careful if any of your devices require 12 volts – 12 volt operation is no longer part of the USB C PD standard. Some supplies continue to support it but not all do.


Also, be sure that the supply can handle the needed input voltage – not all of them can handle the 100v – 240v range.

One final point: you can't power a bunch of different PD devices through a USB hub.

I already have a Powerbank, I am looking for a Universal travel adapter for electricity. I apologize if I expressed myself badly or if I did not specify it. Sorry.

I thought all mobile chargers these days were universal AC voltage butyou may just need a plug adapter. Those are common.

Yes, sure! But each one has different features on USB ports. That's why I made the first post.

I use a 120W "brick" style (a GAN3). That has a separate figure-of-eight IEC C7 style AC input & I have leads to suit different countries I visit. (I do the same with laptop charger and other AC cables, keeping different types).

Spare AC leads are a lot cheaper than more chargers!

Those are USB letters

I provided the AC mechanical (male) Plug letters for each country.

Type A are two flat parallel pins used in North America, 60 Hz 120 V +/-10%
Type C are two round pins common to Europe , 50 Hz 230 V +/-10%

I'm sorry if my english is not good. It is not my mother language.
Anyway all my devices use 110-240V chargers.
I need to know what good PD Universal Travel Adapter I can buy. ONLY it. I hope you can suggest 2-3 65W precise models. Even though I might need a 100W, I would like to buy a 65W because I need it to be 2cm smaller that 100W and with less weight.

Some types are good, some types are bad.
Unless someone has actually owned and used one, there is no way of knowing what it will be like.

It's useless - hardly anything beyond low current basic 5V stuff works correctly with it. It is about a centimetre shorter than the six output 120W one - but far heavier!

Higher power rating does not necessarily correspond to a heavier unit.

Since I haven't bought anything yet, I'd like to ask you one last question. I will only use my adapters when traveling.In your opinion, is it better to buy a 120W Universal travel adapter with USBs built in, or buy 4-5 different AC plug adapters like the one in photo 1 that cover the countries where I go and then connect an adapter like this one in photo 2? The Universal adapter with USB ports is convenient, but there is the problem that it must be inserted into a wall socket perhaps 4-5 meters away from the bed where you rest in the meantime.
