What exactly is transistor biasing? What is the AC and DC load line and why consider them both?

Try to think of it as a small amount of energy required to allow it to work before anything can happen.
A bit like a rotating lawn sprayer. You need a certain amount of water flow to overcome the stiction before it will rotate freely.
