I am working on a trolley mounted EMP weapon for use against people who fail to pay for repairs. The problem is that it needs to operate quietly and at short notice. When switching with a spark gap, the noise can be heard a mile away. A fat ignitron will require heating to get the mercury vapour pressure right. I cant find any thyratrons to handle the current, and they require heating too.
I want to switch 200 microfarads at 10 kilovolts into a load of about 20 microhenrys and 0.1 ohms.
Any ideas?
