Probably an old subject but will beat the dead horse.
when designing a PCboard it makes a better design avoiding squiggly traces and having traces at the center of pads and mounting holes.
Am using Diptrace and just highlight the desired segment and move the highlighted section using the UP/DOWN keys
way better than trying to square up using mouse
 
This is referred to as "glossing", and many PCB design packages have a dedicated tool for it. You can often set the "strength" of the gloss (strong means it will work very hard to straighten the trace, even if that means pushing other components out of the way, weak means it's much more willing to circumvent a component), though this varies between suites. Not sure if DIPTrace has this feature or not.
