It seems like Statler and Waldorf and their clones frequently roast well-intentioned newcomers to this forum. The result is that many new posters never return. Hardly the way to encourage new members, and people in this field in general.
For those of you unfamiliar with Statler, and Waldorf, from Wikipedia:
Statler and Waldorf are a pair of Muppet characters best known for their cantankerous opinions and shared penchant for heckling. The two elderly men first appeared in The Muppet Show in 1975, where they consistently jeered the entirety of the cast and their performances from their balcony seats.
The difference is that Statler and Waldorf are amusing!
