Soldering question

0603 is smaller. The numbers indicate the device size in hundreths of an inch. An 0805 part is .08" long and .05" wide; an 0603 part is .06" long and .03" wide.
When I retired, we were starting to use a bunch of 0201 parts. Needed my microscope.

And in metric, 0805 is 2mm x 1.25mm, 0603 is 1.6mm x 0.8mm.

I ordered the 805 and I could only just solder those.. so probably a good thing I didn't get anything smaller
