Get 37/63 or 60/40 or similar, a branded type that has good quality flux. It's useless if the flux is bad, a waste of money.

This is good stuff, the same one we use, and only slightly more expensive per weight:

40/60 Solder arrived sometime near Christmas. It arrived smashed. I forgot about it until today then I found it while cleaning up. Solder pulls out of the center but it comes out with kinks 2" apart. Oh well I can use it like this. I can only find 1 end of the roll.

Is that the amazon stuff for $11 with “free” shipping? Oof. I bought solder like that once, and never again. Buy yourself some name brand like Kester, MG Chemicals, etc (I use the latter) in 63/37 since it turns instantly from fluid to solid (60/40 has a semi-solid state that if moved will make cold joint) and you’ll be fine. You’ll probably need some additional flux too
