Hi

I made a soft on off switch circuit. It has one micro switch one led & a small IC & a relay drive. It has the following features.

Option1
When you press it will switch on the relay
When you press again it will switch off the relay
When power failure after power comes it is in the OFF state.

Option2
When you press it will switch on the relay
When you press again it will switch off the relay
When power failure after power comes it is in the ON state.

I want to know where can I apply this type of switch. Any ideas?

You would need an Option 3.

When power returns, it should be in the last state, i.e. the state before power failure.

That would require a mechanical latching switch, a non-volatile flash or battery backed memory.

Normally, you want the equipment to be off when the power comes back on for safety reasons.
