This vehicle immobilizer circuit is quite possibly the smallest, simplest, cheapest and easiest to make, install and operate.

Thoroughly field tested, robust and weather resistant design of vehicle immobilizer which can prevent vehicle theft even if thief has keys!

Here's the fancy, animated schematic:

Calling it the G-spot is nearly the worst thing ever.

Starting solenoid question

If the startesr solenoid is energized continously with this circuit, how will it prevent theft?

Hi schmitt, it actually isolates the power to the starting solenoid until:

a) the key is turned to 'start'

and

b) the 'g-spot' is touched

and

c) the operator is earthed - usually via the key/ignition switch itself

Once the above conditions are met, the SCR supplies power to the starting solenoid for as long as the key is kept in the 'start' position.

Thanks for sharing. Very interesting concept and a nice simple circuit.

Think that's bad... Few months ago we took on a new customer at work, called "BJ's". It's a wholesale club, like Sam's. And they are very particular about their cigarette orders, which is part of my department. Every Wednesday, we fill their orders, check and recheck everything, which makes it necessary to repeat their name, numerous times. Fortunately, I'm on good terms with the female employees, but sometimes wonder if there could be some misinterpretation, or perhaps I deliberately phrase things suggestively.

LOL. I can just imagine you having to shout out "Anybody got my BJ (order) ready yet??"
"I placed it at ten and I am still waiting". "Where is my BJ?".

Seriously though, G SPOT is not a good name for a product either though that is not sexually orientated. Bad choice...but is guaranteed to get lots of hits using Google search...

A guy searching for Porn ends up getting pictures of a vehicle immobilizer!!!

Nuff said.

Everyone will buy one including me when they appear on the autozone shelf. Cool concept . For now I just pull the 40 amp fuse under the hood to the starting circuit at nite and turn the flood light on. lol
