Indeed, it is very valuable.

Semiconductor vendors provide lots of useful information. The key is to distinguish between "app notes" which are nothing but sales pitches for their components from truly "universal" information. This guide belongs to the latter.

Mind you...I am not opposed that the vendor pitch their components. These companies have to sell product and make money to remain in business!
