D dchurch New Member Nov 5, 2008 #3 I used one I played with one of these glolab sensors. The practical range for large animals people... is about 35 to 40 feet (using the PIR lens and medium sensitivity). The sensor will detect hand motion without the lens at a few inches. dc

blueroomelectronics Well-Known Member Nov 5, 2008 #5 Did you read the post? About 30 to 40 ft with a lens.
hotwaterwizard Active Member Nov 5, 2008 #6 I guess Page 12 of the Datasheet was of no use to you? 3 ft with out a lense and as far as 90 ft with proper lense. Last edited: Nov 5, 2008

M motola212 New Member Jun 16, 2009 #7 Does PIR sensor have built-in delay Hey When I try to detect a man with a PIR motion detector, it takes the device a few seconds to initiate the alarm. Is this delay necessary? Is it part of the sensor or the device? Thanks
