range of PIR 325

i am thinking of using PIR 325, can someone tell me the range of that sensor ???

I used one

I played with one of these glolab sensors.

The practical range for large animals people... is about 35 to 40 feet (using the PIR lens and medium sensitivity).

The sensor will detect hand motion without the lens at a few inches.

and what if i put a lens in front of the sensor

Did you read the post? About 30 to 40 ft with a lens.

I guess Page 12 of the Datasheet was of no use to you?
3 ft with out a lense and as far as 90 ft with proper lense.

Does PIR sensor have built-in delay

Hey

When I try to detect a man with a PIR motion detector, it takes the device a few seconds to initiate the alarm.
Is this delay necessary?
Is it part of the sensor or the device?
