Question About Physical Binary Storage

Hello everyone I am a programmer and am also intrigued by the physical side of programming. What is the physical component that stores binary data and do you know of any websites that go into the topic in depth?

You mean like registers, SRAM, DRAM, flash, and hard drives?

Thanks Mr RB, that was the kind of information I was after. Now I realise it is a question a bit big for my electronical understanding. I'll have to carry on with more of the basics first.
