Problem with Tascam CD player

Hi everyone
When I insert a cd in the player it seems that the motor is not rotating the cd. I cleaned the laser head but it is still doing the same. The strange thing is that if I help with my finger just to start rotation, then it works just fine. Reads normally plays normally. Any suggestions?

Probably the turntable motor, which is why giving it a spin makes it work.
