Problem in rf module

im using a 434MHz Rf transmitter receiver for controlling my robot...but im nt being able to receive the data at the receiver...wat cud be the possible problem????

How are you sending it?, generally you need to use Manchester coding or some other type of system.

Look into the HT12E and HT12D. You can send 4 bits of data by simply setting the bits and enabling the encoder.
