Precision zero cross detector( sine to square wave , ttl converter)

Dear all,

can any body provide A zero cross detector.

my input frequency range is 0 Hz to 2 kHz, this frequency i want interface with micro 8051.

i have tried with lm 311 . not succeeded.

Also, what level of precision do you need? What is the P-P voltage of the sine wave?
