hello there,, i am new in electronics... i need some help about calculations maybe someone could help me. here is my question. How to find the core area of the E core if the Power is known. Power of transformer is 500watts.

thanks..

hello,

here's the data, how much core area needed for the transformer rated at

220volts primary,
50v-0-50v secondary center tap at
500VA,
operating frequency of 50 hertz

220volts primary,
50v-0-50v secondary center tap at
500VA,
operating frequency of 50 hertz

try this:

CA=sqrt of 500VA/5.58
the result will be the core area in square inches, just convert it from sq.inches to sq, cm

where does 5.58 came from?
