Hey all

Im using a USB-SERIAL adapter to talk 2my PICs via wires... the wires will be replaced with some FM trancievers so on the PC side, i have a little pcb board with the max233 and tranciever device...

is there anyway to get 5v out from the SERIAL connector... noticing that its powered by USB... but the usb power goes WITHIN the back of the SUB connector, i dont really want 2 butcher the rs232 housing to get 5v out..

and other way?

Currently i have a usb connection on my board so i can power the board using another usb port
