Hello guys,,,

can any body recommend to me a PCB slide switch rated for 10A to switch on/off DC load?? i tried to search in Farnell and RS but i couldn't find for DC applications. Most of the PCB slides are rated for AC applications.

Hi Khalid4145,

a slide switch is only as fast as you operate it. It has no spring to force contacts to close quickly enough for high current loads, hence burning quicker than switching.

I therefor doubt that there is any slideswitch for high current on the market.

Rockerswitches have the required spring and they could be modified to fit on a PCB.

Boncuk
