I don't know if anyone else has this.. Its not really a problem, but the "waiting" mouse icon seems to take ages... "chrome"

It appears to be waiting for something to load.

hi Ian,
Ok with Win XP and Firefox

No that didn't work... It was the same at work though, so It's an issue with Chrome..

I have now loaded a whole host of pages from here there and everywhere and ONLY this site is doing it...

More info "Waiting for googleads.g."

Ian, despite what others are telling you, there are problems loading the site, starting since yesterday (last night, actually).

For one thing, the background image for the site is gone. Not that I care, but I don't think it was intentionally removed.

And I get a long time waiting for "192.168.1.108", whoever or whatever that is, which eventually times out. I can read all the pages here OK, but last night, I couldn't get the projects/ideas forum to load at all, while the other forums loaded fine (????). So yes, something's wrong, and it ain't your browser. (I use Firefox (3.6.8) if that matters.

As far I can see, its all working OK.
No loading problem, no missing backgrounds.

We had a short problem this morning with Chat

Having the same problems here. The following images are all hard-coded in the style sheet, and are not loading. 192.168.x.x is actually a non-routed private network address block.

Code:

Noticed the loading problems with Firefox 4.0.1, Win XP sp3 also. Thanks for bringing up web address thing, Adblock'd it and now no loading problems. Never really cared for the background anyway.

I also have Adblock on , I wonder if thats why my access is ok.???

Only if the that address found it's way into the Adblock Rules (check and see), from some previous issue? Maybe a Private Browsing or Options setting doesn't allow loading the ip address that particular way?

Since yesterday this site sometimes (usually but not always) loads with a 15 seconds delay. I have IE9 on Win XP Home.
Sometimes it loads immediately. Cntrl F5 five times quickly didn't make any difference.

This page loads in 6 seconds every time today. When the server was changed it loaded every time immediately.
