How to calculate values of resistors for diode and transistor?

Can you guys explain how to choose values of diode and transistor resistors (I mean the calculating process, where can I get parameters, what are parameters?) ?

hi,
The parameters are the specified values for voltage, current operating speed etc.
These are different for each type of opto-coupler, so it means you should get the opto's datasheet to be sure.
