I remember seeing in the 73 amateur radio mag in the early 80s an ATV transmitter based on a microwave oven, the magnetron redirected to a parabolic dish. So that would be 1?Kw fed into a dish with maybe 20deg spread and yes the oven is a resonate chamber, the stirrer fan is to stop standing waves.
