I am trying to design a Juggling ball that is able to send it's speed/location relative to a central hub to a computer so that the computer can convert that information into where the peak of a throw occurred and then that peak into a specific musical note. Anybody have any idea how I'd go about this? Thanks.

Use a micro controller with a 3 axis accelerometer to determine when the ball peaked. You can get the height from the acceleration as the ball left the hand. Knowing where the balls are is difficult.

The micro controller can easily generate a note.
