Multcolored LED Light Diffusing

A solution I occasionally used was a small cap made of the paper used to wrap pieces of expensive crockery. Problem is that luminosity will be reduced. (As far as I know, difusion entails reduction always...)

Hi again,

Yes, the LED output is reduced unfortunately. I was hoping to work with the tradeoff between good mixing and not too bad light output reduction. I guess it just takes experimentation that's about it.

Havent broken out the Polymorph yet either because i've had other things to do, but i am pretty sure that will work for indoors. Outdoors is a problem because that stuff cant take the heat too well and melts too easy. I tried some in the car once and it melted. Indoors probably ok though. It gets funny looking too if handled a lot but the LED cap will not have to be handled after it is installed.

Hi,

I ran into that AdTech for hot glue but when i went to the site they seem to only sell in bulk and it is not perfectly clear which one of the many they have is the right formula. Perhaps you can take a look too.
Sorry MrAl; It was many years ago I used the stuff, drawing blanks now.
