mp3 player components??!

hi folks

im trying to find out what 2 components 'really' do,
ive read the data sheets but cant really understnad info given
wondering if anyone knows a simple explanation or a good link for :-
an SST39VF010 flash rom chip by 'sst '
MAX810 reset monitor by 'on semiconductors' ??

sst39vf010 is flash memory that use to store the datas (MP3 files). function like a hard disk in PC.
max810 is a reset circuit. it has 2 function: 1. gererate a reset signal for the microcontroller to start the operation. 2. monitoring the voltage, once the battery is low or a large voltage drops occur, it shutdonw the micorcontroller or generate a reset signal to avoid improper operation.
