i want to design circuit that can monitor car battary voltage, then the out put of this circuit will treat with PIC 16F877 , if battary has low voltage the PIC will out audiable warning .
Use two resistors as an attenuator to feed the 12V to one of the PIC A2D inputs, I would suggest a ratio of 3:1 so you get an FSD of 5V on the PIC (assuming you're using the regulated 5V as a reference).
