Making a switch for 2 laptops

I'm not sure if my title was very clear but what I want to make I feel like should be pretty simple. I want to make an av switch that would switch between to laptops that run into a speaker system. The catch is that the laptops are in two separate rooms and I want to have a switch in each room that can volly between laptops but am unsure how to wire this. Any help would be appreciated.

An Apple Airport express can be used as a music player and controlled via iTunes from any computer on the LAN.

Yeah that's a good idea but I'd rather not spend 100 bucks on a router when I already have one (although my current one is acting up so who knows). I was also looking for some sort of project. I understand how to make wire a 3 way switch when it comes to a lamp or light but I don't understand how to apply that to my situation. Thanks for your help.
