This is not cool and unfair because all i wanted to do was talk about magnets and motors this is all new to me
*Takes a very deep breath*
Walters please listen to what I am abt to write. I will be to do with your questions Plus your posts.
You want to learn about megnets and motors? Electromagnetism is an extreamly big and complex field. Asking to learn from scratch from a forum is really unexceptable.
Why? because of the complexaty. This forum is full of hobby electronics ppl who will have an understanding of magnetism, but it is built from experience and study. Ppl here will know abt magnetism BUT a forum is the worst place to try to learn, you need to read books and goto Uni that way you have contact with the infomation. You cannot learn everything from a forum
IF you want to learn about electromagnetism (from which magnets and motors will make sense) then look into
Maxwells Equations
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxwell's_equations
**broken link removed**
From another thread you did not want to learn mathematics, and from these 4 equation you must accept to understand MAgnetism you are going to have to understand basic Calculus.
What is it about magnets that you want to know? All that is useful for day to day use is that they are a source of magnetic flux. You either use an electro-mag (coil of wire + electricity), that is really all you need to know.
ALso you seem to be fasinated about physically how you would wind an inductor!! IS it really that important?
I made a statement

When was teh last time you saw an OPAMP cct who's gain was dependant on winding technique?
That you dismissed with "I am not talking about OPAMPS"
I dont really care if you are or not I gave a valid example and you just do NOT listen.
YES different winding techniques can change the characteristics of that inductor, that is why we have datasheets that tell use the ONLY useful infomation
Stray capacitiance, resistiance, Inductance.
They are really the ONLY info that is required. An OPAMP will respond to voltage, if you put a Inductor in the feedback it will be those 3 quantity's that will govern the behaviour of the circuit, not how it was made.
YES how it was made will govern those quantities, but knowing how it was made isn't going to tell you those values. To know those value you need to look at the data sheet
Now your attitude stinks and you cannot deny it!!!
When you start a post it is for general infomation with about 10different question in one post!!
This forum is suppose to be an aid to solve ppls desing problem or a general query.
say
I have this Inverting opamp cct and the output isnt doing what I think is should
Good question, someone has done some work and they are stuck.
You would do something like
What is an opamp
What is an inverting opamp
How can I set the gain
how is an OPAMP made
Where is a technical query in a post like that? it doesn't exist and thus is wholly unnapropriate for this forum
Equally when a logical reply is given to you you just dismiss it and ask the question again. Why dont you trust the reply? There are enough ppl here so that if a reply was made that was wrong it would get corrected. I have posted reply's before and someone ha corrected my statement thus ensuring the reply is appropriate.
You just seem to dismiss it. 99% of what you ask can be answered by searching google, yet you search google and it give's you an answer that you dont understand so you then post back here!!!! you dont even try to search for that new thing.
You are trying to learn off the internet a very complex field (ie electronics) which is not going to happen, you have come across this resouce and you are abusing it.
A common reply to pretty much all your replies are:
Google
Book
Goto college
from the level of understanding that you have demopnstrated they are you only hopes (college being the biggest one).
Please do those things and when you have a realy problem by all means post back here with your design problem and we will try to fix
