Hello,

Is there any alternative to CNY17-1 (optocoupler from fairchild)?
Frequency must be 10Khz...Pls advise.Thanks,

CNY 17 coming from Telefunken, today Vishay. CTR=80...100 so replaceable almost any type.

Anyone can advise?
I need the part number for optocoupler similar to CNY17-1, but frequency must be 10khz.
I'm using it for current isolating.
Can TMC2242AX2 or TMC2242BX2 do this function?
Pls advise.

I don't even know what that is, but it is not an opto coupler.

Fairchild also makes a CNY17-1, but as was already stated, there is not really much special about it. Why wouldn't, say, a 4N35 work for you?

The major difference in the CNY17 series and the 4N3x series is the BVceo -- the CNY17 is min 70V, typ 100V (Ic=1mA If=0), while the 4N35 is min 30V, typ 65V (Ic=10mA If=0). If the breakdown voltage rating isn't a problem, the 4N35 should work for you, and they're very easily sourced.

6n138 / 6n139 are very good Opto Couplers for high frequencies, i think it can take up to 1Mhz !
