I am looking for an idea to use a bridge circuit to produce an output level to a 150W lamp in relation to the ambient level. Essentially, the 150W lamp output would be compared with, and adjusted to, the ambient level, simulating the actual outdoor light level.
Just as an idea: As you said, using a bridge with two LDRs, one in each branch, it is possible to compare the voltage difference in a Op Amp and the output compared with a ramp synchronized with the AC supply. The resulting rectangular pulse is fed to a MOC and this fires a triac.
The real circuit is not complex and requires a general Op Amp (LM324), a bridge rectifier 1A, a 555, a MOC 3023, a simple diode, 3 transistors 2n3906, 2 LDRs, a triac, and a bunch of resistors and capacitors.
