Hi -

After trying a few different methods that we discussed here, reflective sensing outdoors just didn't work well enough given speed requirements of at least 100kHz and 8 inch distance. Trying to come up with a circuit for an Avalanche Photo Diode (APD) here. I found a bias circuit and then combined with a PIN Photodiode circuit that has worked previously. In researching APD application circuits, they can be very complicated - and there are many of them. Anyway, guidance or suggestions on the following circuit would be very much appreciated. My questions are 1) Does this look like it will work? and 2) Is the combination correct or is the extra circuitry not necessary?

Thanks!
D.K.
