LED sequencer?...

Hello. I'm looking for a schematic to show me how to put together a circuit for about a 4 to 5 (or maybe more) led setup that would make them flash as such...1,2,3,4...1,2,3,4 in sequence that would run off of a 9V battery. I'm pretty sure I need a 555 and a 4017...just not sure how to put it all together. Thanks in advance for your help!
