hi i have an old lcd (compaq tft8020) that just died on me the other and upon closer inspection i found that the monitor was still displaying image but there's no brightness to the screen.

so therefore it must be either the cathode lamps or the inverter board that's not working anymore.

how would i check to see if the inverter board is still functional?

what should the output voltage be?

tnx

Very high. Inverter puts out like 1300VAC open circuit at around 100-200KHz. The supply drops off to a much lower voltage when a working lamp is put on it, after the lamp gets started.
