Latex code results in error

\frac{x^{2}+2x+1}{x^{2}+2x+1}

[latex]\frac{x^{2}+2x+1}{x^{2}+2x+1}[/latex]

It should result in (X^2+2x+1)/(X^2+2x+1)

Testing...

[LATEX]x^2[/LATEX]


Hi,

As shown above it seems to happen with any code between the tags.
The above was the simple "x^2" between tags.

I also saw the latex error with a very simple expression created with the Latex Editor (https://www.electro-tech-online.com/threads/latex-editor.125297/).

I would like to ask that the aforementioned editor be made a sticky.

This issue is now resolved!! Was a bug in the operating systme (not my fault!!)

Now I can get back to improving the latex editor!

fixed again...

Got to find where to turn off the auto updates to prevent this from happening again...

EDIT: turned off auto updates so this wont happen again!

Lock at post #3 https://www.electro-tech-online.com/threads/latex-code-results-in-error.125894/#post1044064 in this thread where you supposedly tested it before. Note the error still exists in post #3.

But do the following:
1. On post #3 do a reply with quote
2. Go advanced
3. Preview
4. the E=MC2 shows properly in the preview

Wierd?

No, its just the way the system works. The Latex image only generates when you make the post or edit it. So it can be fixed by editing the post and saving it
