Laser Fluence Question

Hello all,

I am trying to figure out what the fluence/strength of a laser will be when it hits the target area.

Say the beam when it hits the target is 1cm^2. The laser is 5W, and the distance from target is about 1cm.

Would it be safe to say that the fluence would then be about 5J/cm^2, since 5W = 5J/s? or at least relatively close to that?
