Not a rant, only an observation: I have noticed the next casualty in the ongoing chipaggedon, thru-hole devices.
And I fully get it, as manufacturers seek ways to optimize production capabilities, it is a sound business decision to phase-out the slower moving components, which will almost always be legacy products in THT format.
What do you think it will happen? Will the THT devices migrate to production centers in China or India, or will they go the way of the dinosaurs?
