Iot with Arduino Nano Board + ESP8266

I see most people always to use Arduino Uno + esp8266 for Iot so could I can use Arduino Nano Board + ESP8266 for Iot ? ..... Someday, I used Arduino Nano Board for testing while loading code to Arduino I had problem. . It is shown below. Could you help me ? Thank you ! :

Why not just use the ESP8266 on it's own?, it's a far faster processor with more memory, and can be programmed via the Arduino IDE.

As for your Nano problem, are you trying to use the programming serial port for connecting to the ESP?.
