Can you post a photo showing the front of your scope so we can see the positions of all of the knobs and buttons?

This is the manual for the series of scope you have. What cowana is asking is how you have the scope setup? For example triggering? To see a display the scope needs to be correctly setup.

See page 39 of the linked to procedure for initial settings to see a trace.

Turn on POWER
Turn all of the red knobs to CAL.
Coupling Auto
Source ch2
Hold OFF = CCW
Time base MAIN
CHA 1 GND
CHA 2 GND
Vert Mode CHA2
MAIN TB - Somewhere in the mS range

If the trace is NOT Visible (Press and Hold Beam finder)
Adjust, horiz position, vertical position, and intensity so something is visible and trace is somewhat ceentered

Release the beam finder
Adjust intensity
Adjust, horiz and vertical position.
Adjust focus.

You should have a horiz line on channel 2.
