How to make a switch wireless ?

I need a circuit , to make a switch ( for example a lamp switch ) wireless.
and also how to make a wireless panel for all switch in my home ?
what can i do ?

How far does it need to transmit and receive? Do you require RF??

You can google for "wireless switch circuit" and find a number of them.

How good are you with microcontrollers?

I personally wouldn't attempt this without a microcontroller.

IR you can do with some 555 timers on the transmit end and relays and logic gates on the receiving end.

RF could probably be done with On-Off Keying of a module the same way as above with the IR, but would be harder I'd imagine.

Either way I'd aim for the microcontroller.
