help with microchip notation

Hello everyone, I was reading the 16f628 datasheet and ran across some notation that i don't understand. its in the pc pclath paragraph. here it is (pc<12:8>)

hi,
It means bits 12 down to 8.[inclusive]

EDIT:
The PC, Program Counter is a 13 bit address,
comprising PCHi. bits 12 thru 8 and PCLo, bits 7 thru 0.
