Generating 100mV to a few volts via amplifier or some sort?

No can't be...the oscilloscopes are well away from any AM/FM transmitter stations.

These are labs are isolated under the 1st floor, the electrical engineering labs.

One of the reasons I choose the CA3130 was its high slew rate.

So which OpAmp do you suggest?

edit: The wires themselves are a few cms long...enough to cover the width of the breadboard. The ultrasonic receiver, one of the pins is on ground and the other being on the non-inverting input.

thanks

The old CA3130 opamp has a high slew rate when it doesn't have any negative feedback. When it has negative feedback then its external phase compensation capacitor reduces its slew rate.

You should never use a breadboard for high frequency circuits. Use a small pcb.
