I want to build a robot that has two fans that can indavidually similar to those used on Weebo from the movie Flubber. Any ideas on how I could do this?

A blimp should work great. You should be able to source a kit from a hobby shop. I dunno how you're going to control altitude though...

Hi.

Another thing you may find useful for this is the ADXL205 series accelerometers. These are two axis devices and respond to both tilt and acceleration, which is ideal for controlling small helicopters/autogyros.

I'd expect that "ducting" the airflow using servos would be more efficient than varying the motor speed due to fan inertia.

Hope this helps,
-Andre
