the most important thing is that i have to compare the past transformers with present ones. can any one say how to get or collect information about that?
A transformer is a transformer. Two loops of wire near each other. The physics is stable and does not change much. Here are some changes I can think of:
There is a new type of transformer "planar".
I was involved in using triple insulated wire in place of tape for insulation.
Split bobbin transformer.
Core material have changed over the years.
I have some transformers that date back to silk thread for insulation.
the most important thing is that i have to compare the past transformers with present ones. can any one say how to get or collect information about that?
thank u guys.. mr ronsimpson can you share more experience please.. i wanna know -
1. has the size of transformer has reduced?
2. has the efficiency has bee increased?
3. has the installation and maintenance cost has reduced?
hope you guys will help me.
thanks again.
