I'm in the need of a circuit that will replace the points and condensor to trip my 12vdc automotive coil.

The main problems are mechanical, but you can buy pointless modification kits to fit many older cars - I would suggest looking for such a kit.

Are you looking to replace the points/condensor in the car or are you looking for a way to operate the coil out of the car? (for some sort of High voltage project.)
