Does anyone have experience with Solenoid City?

They appear to have a wide range of options you can pick from, but I can barely find any information about them by Googling, even in quotes, which makes me a bit skeptical that they are "real". Anyone bought anything from them so far, and if so, how did it go?

Did you try Googling their parent company name? Magnetic Sensor Systems or MSS. Both the name you gave and MSS give many pages of hits for the companies.
