Hi again Nigel and others here,
Wow, they have some really good prices there. Almost unbelievable. Almost makes it seem like buying single chips alone is a waste when we can get the whole board.
My point exactly, it's so cheap and they have such a huge range of useful stuff.
Even better it's free postage, it might take a few weeks but it's not like you're paying for it
But because of the cheap prices, and the time it takes for delivery, I tend to usually order multiples - so if I want one I'll order three, and keep them in stock.
I'm currently playing with their DFPlayer Mini MP3 modules.

I've installed one on a piece of veroboard, along with four tact switches (also from Bangood - I ordered 100 of them), and it works fine from the four switches - I'm currently connecting it to a PIC where you send it commands via RS232, which is also working fine (I managed to get a bit of it done yesterday, after building the scope). In particular, I've got the PIC telling it to repeat play track one, which is something I wanted it for - continually playing a particular sound, even better it feeds a speaker directly.
I'm so impressed with it I ordered three when I ordered the USB/RS232 adaptor yesterday - and I've just had some 4Gb microSD cards come (from Amazon) to use in them.
I wonder how safe it is to use a credit card with them?
How do you guys usually pay for your stuff there?
I pay via PayPal - simply because that was how I happened to make my first order (the Component Tester), and it automatically goes to that now when I place an order.
But be aware, it's addictive!
