i just wondering if anyone recalled how to calculate the discharge rate of a battery.

and also if anyone knows how many amps does a AA battery contains?

BTW -- I chose the alkaline cell for the above reference due to its current popularity and its widespread use. Eveready also shows their L91 Lithium Cylindrical equivalent to the AA cell as a 2900mAh cell, while their 1215 Carbon-Zinc version of the AA cell is an 1100mAh cell. These are all considered "primary" power sources. There is a "rechargeable" version shown as well -- the NH15 -- which is sized as a AA cell but is rated at 1.2V, and is listed as a 2100mAh cell.
