I'm coupling a 4 digit lock circuit using LS7220 IC's. Please can someone tell me which electronic key powered by the relay to use and how to connect it. From Nigeria

What is it that you want to lock/unlock?

This will determine the item that is most suitable, if one exists...

It would be most beneficial to all on the forum if you could set out exactly what it is you want to achieve instead of drip feeding information......You are more likely to get help that way..

The link you posted isnt a code lock........Like I said in a previous post...tell us a bit more about what your trying to achieve...

The above circuit link although provides some sort of solenoid function is doesnt have any security in the form of a code lock which is what you originally asked about......

I also have a touch plate and an LDR powered intruder alarm. When they are powered, the alarm turns on first without detecting anything. Is there anything i can do to stop this because, if the system is on and power fails, before it switchs to alternative source of power the alarm goes on. What kind of door...a car door a house door, a garage door?

That's a good idea. Don't expect our efforts if you can't put in enough effort to explain your project fully.

The project is to fashion a metallic box-like safe that will be locked with a 4 digit combination digital lock based on LS7220. The key pad should have 12 buttons. (Actually, i'm coupling the circuit, i'm not the inventor). If the right combination of keys are pressed, the lock opens and remains open for some seconds and then locks again. My major constrains are that i can't see the LS7220 and an electronic lock for it in Nigeria. Diagram **broken link removed**

If you can't get the LS7220 that's a problem. You could try a microcontroller based design but you'd have to learn to program and you may have problems getting that too. Not many businesses will ship to Nigeria.

What happens if you dont shut the door before the lock re-engages?

It would necessitate having to re-enter the code....


Not the best of ideas I'm afraid....


The lock mechanism could be a simple solenoid...Can you get one of them in Nigeria?
