DC circuit for rat killer

you could make a trap that uses .22cal birdshot, loosely based on a revolver type feed mechanism (or even better, a belt or stick feed).

the mechanism would be similar to a semiauto or full auto pellet/BB gun. the chamber and bore sizes would be 0.228 (that's a #1 drill in a number/letter machinist's drill set). the mechanism could also be air operated, or electrically operated.
the ammunition would be .22 pellets (or plastic cups containing #12 birdshot or birdshot "dust"). either a revolver mechanism or a stick (a rectangular bar with chambers drilled through it) feed mechanism would make it work like a revolver or a "harmonica" gun.

i was going to recommend a trap using .22 birdshot cartridges, but depending on state and local law, that could be illegal because it's a firearm. you could probably do something like this in the USA if it were a black powder device, but some states and cities might still have laws against it.

i've also seen on the web that mixing baking powder (containing baking soda and calcium phosphate) with peanut butter will kill rats because they can't burp. as soon as the baking powder is in their stomach it reacts and creates large amounts of CO2.
