Hi
I need a 24V 5A regulated power supply to operate a stepper motor. I would like to use a simple 3 pin regulator. can you suggest which type to use? I have a 24Vac secondary transformer and a bridge rectifier, of course. I need it as a temporary solution - I've orderd from China a 24V 15A power supply - because I have 3 stepper motors to operate, they are rated 3A each.
Thanx.

Well its been a while since i played with these things but i remember there use to be a beefed up version of the good old lm317 that was rated for 5A when attached to a heat sink. It comes in a TO-3 case.

Edit:
Here you go... **broken link removed** have fun :p
